Afternoon Tea at Angels Tea Rooms - Review

For Mothersday My Mum, Gran & I went to Angels Tea Room in Babbacombe Torquay for Afternoon Tea (In the Morning).

When we arrived there was a lovely courtyard area outside with little tables to sit at (Which were completely full of people), we had pre-booked and were sat inside, as we went through the door you walked into a beautiful room full of little Cherubs hanging from the ceiling, Pictures of Angels and a Beautiful large Vintage mirror.
We were seated at our table as soon as we arrived, it was very pretty with lace table covers and beautiful fine china tea cups all laid out. The waitress handed us our menu's and bought over the specials board.
The menu's were leather and had a lovely Angels motif on them.
We browsed the menu and it had a lot to offer, from full English breakfasts, soups to sandwiches and baguettes, but we all decided on the same thing an Angels Tea, This was 2 Scones of your choice, a sandwich of your choice and tea or coffee.
While we were waiting I noticed the lovely selection of Cakes you could take away on the counter and the different Chutneys they had for sale, they looked very inviting.
Shortly after ordering our food arrived, my Mum had chose a Cherry Scone and a plain Scone along with a Tuna sandwich, and my Gran had chosen two Fruit Scones along with a Cheese sandwich, it was all very nicely presented as you can see in the picture below.
I ordered two Plain Scones and a Tuna Cheese melt toasted sandwich, and we all had De-Caffeinated tea.

We all tucked in and the scones were still warm and I noticed they were Heart shaped which was a lovely touch. We had Raspberry Jam & Strawberry Jam with Clotted Cream (Very generous with the amount they supplied).
The Tea was lose leaves in the pot and we were provided with a little strainer to pour if through. We paid £8.50 each and overall I think it was a fantastic price for the food and service that was provided, I would highly recommend Angels Tea Rooms to everyone for a lovely afternoon tea.
