Bethany has been asking me for ages to make her some Snow White and Grumpy Biscuits, so today I made them for her and thought I would share the recipe with you all.
To make these you will need:
- 200g (7oz) Butter
- 200g (7oz) Caster Sugar
- 1 egg
- half a tsp Vanilla Extract
- 400g (14oz) Plain Flour
- Red Food Colouring
To start beat together the Sugar and Butter in a large mixing bowl, then beat in the egg and Vanilla Extract. Mix in the flour to form and dough (you may need to use your hands to get it all to stick together). Then I cut the dough in half and wrapped one bit up in cling film, and the other bit I worked Red Food Colouring into to make it go pink. Once this has worked wrap up in cling film, then put in the fridge for the dough to chill for half an hour (this will help the Biscuits hold their shape when you cook them).
Once chilled roll out the dough to 5mm thick, then use your Biscuit cutter to cut as many as possible from it (you may need to repeat this step a few times).
Put them onto Baking/Greaseproof paper on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes at 180c/350f/Gas 4.
Once cooked let them cool on a wire rack before enjoying.
