Ravensburger Empire State Building at Night - 3D Puzzle

We were recently asked if we would like to try out the Ravensburger Empire State Building at Night, 3D Puzzle.
I was so excited to get started with building this.
I've always loved puzzles since I was a little girl but one thing I have never tried is a 3D puzzle.
The box contains 216 interconnecting plastic puzzle pieces, the corner pieces have hinges on them.
The first time I attempted to put this puzzle together I got so frustrated with it as I couldn't get the plastic struts to sit properly to be able to make the structure sturdy! I soon learnt that my issue was that I had not folded the corner parts (plastic hinges) close enough together! So be warned of this.
So first I started with the base.
Each puzzle piece has a number printed on the back and an arrow for easy assembly.
The instructions are incredibly easy to follow.
The Instructions show you how to build the Empire state building block by block. Every so often I had to put some support struts (that are including in the box) in to make the building stable.
This took me about 45 minutes to build altogether and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its such a great idea and so different to your average puzzle.

Once completed the Famous American Building stands 48.5cm tall, and has a fantastic LED light inside which glows a warm red, yellow, green, blue or pink light, automatically changing to make this an effective and dramatic addition to your room.
I will without a shadow of a doubt be buying more of the Ravensburger 3D puzzles, I absolutely love this one and cannot wait to build another one.
This puzzle is recommended for age 12 upwards, and is available to buy from Amazon or your local Ravensburger Puzzle Stockist.
Have you ever built a 3D Ravensburger puzzle?

Disclaimer: We were sent the Ravensburger Puzzle for free, but have received no other form of compensation to provide this review. All opinions are my own.
