Degustabox Review - August

We recently received our Degustabox for the month of August. This is our first ever Degustabox, when the delivery man arrived with the box it felt like Christmas, I was so excited to see what was in the box.
Our August Degustabox was jam packed full of tasty goodies.
Here is what we received in the August Degustabox;
Lindt Hello Chocolate Hearts - Ben is a massive chocoholic so it didn't take him long to eat all 10 Milk Chocolate Hearts! They are really cute, I think they would make a super gift.
Fever Tree Ginger Beer & Tonic Water - The Ginger Beer was really nice, i'm not a massive Tonic Water fan but it would go really well with Gin!
Cawston Press Apple & Pear Kids Blend - This is lovely, Bethany really enjoyed it, I had a little taste too and liked it. Great idea for kids lunch boxes.
Caribbean Twist Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail - I love love love Strawberry Daiquiri's, and this is no exception! So tasty and a bargain for £2.50 a bottle! Perfect for a night in with the girls.
Berry White Goji Berries with Peaches, White Tea and Echinacea Organic Drink - This is a fruity drink with unusual ingredients, I can't have caffeine so was unsure about the White Tea, but thankfully it turns out this is caffeine free, incredibly tasty and available in other flavours too. 10% of their profits go to charity.
Schwartz Flavour Shots Mexican Fajitas and Spanish Smoked Paprika Chicken - I love finding new dinner ideas so when I saw these I was a little excited to see how yummy they were, I'm hoping to use the Mexican Fajitas Flavour Shots with the fantastic Mexican Dave's Lightly Salted Tortilla Chips we also received in our Degustabox.
Mexican Dave's Lightly Salted Tortilla Chips - We all love Totilla Chips in our house. They are great added to a meal, for dipping or just for snacking on. The packaging is really eye catching and lovely and bright.
Brioche Pasquier Croissants & Pains Au Lait - I love Croissants, they always remind me of my trip to France. We used the Pains Au Lait for Bethany's lunches as she loves Jam, I thought the sweetness of the bread would go well, Bethany loved them. I really enjoyed the Croissants they were really Tasty.
Dr Oetker Edible Wafer Cupcake Cases - These edible wafter cupcake cases are perfect for kids and children's parties. We recently had a Sofia the First party and I used these to make some great cupcakes.

They were a massive hit with the children and they loved the fact they could eat the cases.
Here's the recipe for these gorgeous Vanilla Cupcakes.
You will need;
110g/4oz butter or margarine, softened at room temperature
110g/4oz caster sugar
2 free-range eggs, lightly beaten
1tsp vanilla extract
110g/4oz self-raising flour
1-2 tbsp milk
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line a 12-hole muffin tin with Edible Wafer cases, Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale. Beat in the eggs a little at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
Next, Fold in the flour using a metal spoon, adding a little milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency. Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until they are half full.
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a knife inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool, then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.
I used Strawberry Betty Crocker icing to put on the top.
This month also saw Degustabox fridge which is a new scheme that Degustabox are trying out. It will include a voucher for a chiller or freezer item. The August box included a voucher for a MOMA bircher muesli pot which can be redeemed in Waitrose or Sainsbury's, unfortunately both Sainsbury's near by did not have the MOMA bircher muesli in stock so I will have to wait till we are passing a Waitrose to collect ours.
You can sign up for your own Degustabox subscription here for just £12.99 a month.
You can get £3 off your order when you use the discount code "I12BQ" at the checkout.
