We are really excited this year as we are off on not only one but two fantastic holidays.
The last time we went abroad for a holiday I was 6 weeks pregnant with Bethany, so this is a long time overdue.
Our first trip is at the beginning of May for a long weekend to Paris.
This trip is just for Ben and I, Bethany is staying with Ben's parents for the weekend which she is really excited about.
I have always wanted to go to Paris since I was small. I have visited France before on a French exchange with school, but cannot remember much about it. I cannot express how excited I am to be visiting Paris, I have so many plans and we are staying 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower, Eek!
I'm looking forward to seeing the Tower glitter at night, and hopefully climbing to the top (if my fear if heights and anxiety doesn't take over).
I also want to visit love lock bridge, The place of Versailles, The Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. Also would love to do a Seine river cruise, as well as visiting some of the lovely French markets and trying out some French cuisine. Not sure how I will fit it in all in four days, but I am so willing to give it a go.
I can't wait to share some of the pictures with you all and tell you all about it.
Our second holiday is our first family holiday abroad. We are off to Portugal at the end of May.
Bethany is so excited about going on a plane, however it did take some convincing, as soon as we said we are going on holiday on a plane her response was "I don't like heights". After some explaining about what a plane is like she is now happy!
We also went to watch the Aeroplanes take off and land at our local airport this weekend which Bethany found really exciting, and I think it helped her understand a little more about planes.
Our hotel has a huge outdoor pool, a kids pool, a kids play area, a fab spa, indoor pool, great modern rooms and a kids club that Beth's already asked to go too.
We are staying in the Portamao region and are hoping to visit the Zoomarine, it sounds really exciting and has so much to offer.
We had some trouble picking where to go on our family holiday, with it being Bethany's first time abroad we are a little worried as to how her Asthma will be, were hoping it will be fine and that the warmer weather will help, i'm just a little worried about the humidity which is why we haven't travelled too far (paranoid mum alert)!
The flight is only a few hours, and were hoping to take a few things to keep Bethany occupied on the plane, and the hour and a half transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Over the next few weeks we will be sharing our summer holiday clothes haul with you all so keep your eyes peeled.
